6 Ways Improve Your Health by Grounding

6 Ways Improve Your Health by Grounding

When I started my wellness journey, I ran into a roadblock with no way to pass. I came to the point where I couldn't lose weight no matter what I tried.

I was in pain all the time, stressed out and zapped of energy.

I felt like a bag of garbage that was kicked to the curb, and ran-sacked by the neighbour's cat.

I thought, "This is how it feels to get old."

I convinced myself I needed to accept this new state of being as my life!

One day, I was listening to a podcast. It grabbed my attention when the speaker started talking about grounding.

Until that moment, the only grounding fact I knew about was that it is a prerequisite for working inside a computer. So you don't blow it up. (I did this once!)

When it came to health matters, grounding was a whole idea.

I learned that grounding is a holistic practice where you connect with the earth's natural force.

This sounded very interesting! Could grounding be something that could improve life?

But how?

You can become grounded simply by touching the ground or attaching yourself to the ground by another means, such as a device or wire.

Best of all?

Grounding has potential health benefits!

We all know that our digital, fast-paced lifestyles expose us to electromagnetic pollution. Most people have a cell phone in their hand at any given moment while staring at a TV or computer screen.

Microwaves, power lines, smart watches, Wi-Fi, radio waves and many more sources surround us like an invisible toxic fog.

Being around all these sources of electricity causes a disconnect from the detoxifying healing of the natural healing energy source of the earth.

What if I go to the Beach?

Have you ever realized how good you feel when you go away on vacation? You spend those balmy sun-filled days wandering on the white seashore, digging your toes into the hot sand, and frolicking in the cool water.

You thought what you needed was to get away from the reality of your life.

In a way you're right!

But burying your toes in the sand has healing benefits.

Did you know there are ways to indulge in these benefits without leaving home?

All you need is direct physical contact with the Earth's surface.

You can walk barefoot on soil, grass, or sand. Or immerse yourself in a natural body of water.

The Earth has a negative electric charge. So when we connect with it, we can balance our positive charge.

We have been exposed to modern technologies and environments that wreak havoc on our natural balance.

What Are The Benefits of Grounding?
  • Reduce Inflammation: Grounding can reduce chronic inflammation, which causes various health issues. Some include cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and autoimmune disorders.
  • Decrease Stress: Grounding may promote relaxation by balancing the body's stress response system. Hello, improved mood and a good night's sleep.
  • Improved Sleep: People have reported improved quality and deeper, longer sleep periods.
  • Pain Relief: Due to its anti-inflammatory effects, grounding can help reduce joint and muscle pain, even chronic pain that has plagued you for years.
  • Boosted Immune Function: Some research has indicated that grounding may support the immune system by reducing stress from an imbalance of antioxidants and free radicals.
  • Increased Energy Levels: Many people report increased energy and vitality after grounding. It can improve sleep and reduce stress.
Simple Ways to Ground Yourself and Change Your Life

Walking Barefoot: One of the most down-to-earth ways to ground yourself is by walking barefoot on natural surfaces like grass, sand, or soil. Everyone should spend time in nature whenever possible.

Grounding Products: You can buy very effective products designed to conduct the earth's energy. Some examples are floor or desk mats, bedsheets and wristbands.

These grounding products are safe to use with a cord that plugs into the ground hole of a regular wall outlet.

Grounding Exercises: Practices such as yoga, tai chi, or qigong can combine grounding techniques, and forming a connection with the Earth. A grounding mat will increase the benefits.

Cold Water Immersion: This one is not for me, but swimming in natural bodies of water or taking cold showers is a form of grounding that can also provide a sense of invigoration. Would you go for a polar dip?

Mindfulness and Meditation: Mindfulness exercises focusing on grounding techniques, such as deep breathing and visualization, can help you mentally connect with the Earth's energy. This allows you to calm your inner self and promote mental healing. Some great free apps teach breathing techniques and have relaxing sounds.

Limit EMF Exposure: Reduce exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMFs) from electronic devices and Wi-Fi, as these can disrupt the body's natural electrical balance. Turn off your Wi-Fi at night. Don’t sleep with your cell phone or computer in the room. Reduce the use of screens and blue light at bedtime.

Grounding Has Changed My Life!

When I learned about grounding, I wanted to try this simple method of improving my well-being.

Reducing inflammation and stress while promoting better sleep and pain relief was just what I needed.

In the summer, I can walk on the sandy beach and dip my toes in the cool ocean water. With just an hour in the evening, I have always noticed better sleep that night.

I thought it was because of the fresh air and exercise. I had never realized that I was grounding.

In the chilly weather, I don't go outside in bare feet. So I bought a grounding sheet for the bed. I noticed a difference in the length and quality of my sleep on the first night.

Using these techniques, I have noticed better sleep, reduced pain, increased energy, and an overall feeling of calmness.

I now have the energy to exercise, and the weight is coming off.

I realized my problem isn't “old age". I was suffering from a lack of connection with the earth!

While scientific research on grounding is ongoing, many people report positive effects on their health and vitality when using these methods.

You can change your life today by adding grounding practices to your daily routine. Spending time in nature or using a grounding device, and reducing your exposure to electromagnetic pollution is a low-cost and beneficial way to support your health and well-being.
